1. Scope and operator
This Privacy Policy explains how OMU LABS LIMITED, Hong Kong ("we", "us") handles information in 雀數 / JongScore (the "App"). A game scored alone stays on your iPhone by default. Related game data is synced over the network only when you initiate invite-friends scoring.
The App has no accounts, advertising or third-party tracking. The sections below distinguish local records, Apple speech recognition and shared rooms; the App is not represented as entirely offline.
2. Information stored on your device
Player names, selected avatars, seats, rule sets, each win, self-draw, draw and score, notes and settings are stored on this iPhone by default. You are responsible for safeguarding your device and any backups you export.
Clearing all data in Settings or deleting the App removes the on-device App data. It does not automatically delete a synced cloud room or copies already shared or exported elsewhere.
3. Microphone and Apple speech recognition
The App uses microphone and speech-recognition permissions only after you tap the speak-the-hand control. You can manage or withdraw these permissions in iOS Settings and continue scoring manually.
Apple's speech service is allowed by default. If the device supports on-device Cantonese recognition, recognition is performed on the device; otherwise your speech is sent to Apple for recognition under Apple's applicable privacy policy and service terms.
JongScore has no speech server of its own and does not collect or retain your audio recording. Recognition may be inaccurate. Nothing is scored until you confirm.
4. Recognised text
Transcripts are not saved by default. If you enable save-the-recognised-text-after-confirmation, the text is stored with the local game. When that game has a shared room, saved transcripts sync with it and are accessible to anyone holding the room code.
Avoid including unnecessary personal or sensitive information in speech or notes.
5. Camera permission
The camera is used only to scan a room-code QR code. The App does not store or upload photos for this feature. You can withdraw camera permission in iOS Settings and enter the room code instead.
6. Shared rooms and access
When you initiate a shared room, its six-character code and game data (player names, seats, rules, individual hands, scores and transcripts only if you opted to save them) are stored with our cloud infrastructure provider so code holders can join the same table. This processing provides game sharing and synchronisation.
There is no login. Anyone with the room code can read and change the game. The code is an access key, not a personal account or identity check. Share codes or QR codes only with people you trust, and inform other players that their names and game records will be shared in the room.
Our cloud service provider processes that information to provide storage and sync. We do not sell player information or use game data for advertising tracking.
7. Sharing and exported backups
A result card is an image you send through system sharing and contains player names and scores. An exported backup is a JSON file; you choose where it is stored and who receives it.
Recipients and services you choose may retain copies under their own privacy policies. Obtain appropriate consent and share only information you are entitled to disclose.
8. Retention, clearing and privacy requests
Local information remains until you clear it, delete the App or otherwise remove it. Cloud-room information is handled separately from the local copy; clearing local data is not cloud-room deletion. There are no accounts and therefore no account-deletion flow.
For enquiries about access, correction or deletion of shared-room information, contact email@omulabs.co. We handle requests subject to applicable law and technical feasibility and may need sufficient information to verify your authority. Do not post room codes publicly and provide only necessary details when contacting us.
This Policy does not promise an unverified automatic cloud-deletion deadline. Copies separately retained by other players or recipients do not disappear when you clear your local data.
9. Security and third-party services
We take reasonable measures to protect information we handle, but no device, network or synchronisation service can guarantee absolute security or uninterrupted operation. Access and editing by code holders is inherent to shared-room functionality; safeguard room codes and your device.
Apple speech recognition, system-sharing destinations and backup services you choose are provided by their respective operators. Please review their privacy policies when using those services.
10. Children and recreational use
The App is not directed at children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child's information has been inappropriately submitted to a shared room.
Scores, statistics and result cards are recreational records only. The App does not process stakes, payments, transfers or debts.
11. Updates and contact
We may update this Policy as features or legal requirements change. The revised version will display its last-updated date. Where processing changes materially, we will provide any notice required by applicable law.
