1. Agreement and provider
These Terms of Use govern 雀數 / JongScore (the "App") provided by OMU LABS LIMITED, Hong Kong ("we", "us"). By using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, stop using it. Our Privacy Policy separately explains how information is handled.
2. Service and recreational purpose
JongScore is a four-player Hong Kong Cantonese mahjong scoring tool offering manual entry, confirmed Cantonese speech entry, win, self-draw and draw records, statistics, result-card sharing and optional room-code scoring together.
Scores, statistics and cards are recreational records for players to compare. They are not stakes, payment instructions, transfers, debts or a legally binding settlement. The App does not provide payment collection, debt recovery or gambling services. Verify the figures yourself and comply with the laws applicable to you.
3. Local information and your responsibilities
There are no accounts. You are responsible for local data and exported backups, protecting your device, checking entries and providing or sharing only player names and content you are entitled to use.
Clearing all data or deleting the App removes only the on-device copy. It does not automatically delete cloud rooms or backups held by others.
4. Speech recognition and confirmation
Speech recognition is provided through Apple services, on device when supported and otherwise through Apple. It may mishear names, fan values or results. You must confirm recognised results before any score is entered.
Review and correct each hand. The App does not guarantee perfectly accurate recognition or scoring and does not adjudicate disputes between players.
5. Shared rooms and synchronisation
After a room is opened, anyone with its six-character code can view and edit the game. The code is an access key; there is no login or identity verification. Do not publicly disclose or casually forward it.
Explain sharing to participating players and obtain any necessary consent before using the feature. Sync requires a network and may be delayed, interrupted or subject to conflicting edits. Check synced records and do not treat sync as a guarantee of permanent backup.
6. Prohibited conduct
Do not use the App for illegal activities, including collecting stakes or gambling debts. Do not access games without authorisation, attempt to guess or obtain others' room codes, interfere with the service, bypass safeguards or submit malicious content.
Do not infringe others' privacy or intellectual property rights or disclose information you are not entitled to disclose through names, notes, backups or shared content.
7. Intellectual property and mascot
Rights in the App, interface and text belong to OMU LABS LIMITED, except for third-party materials and their associated rights. You may use the App personally and lawfully under these Terms. Except where permitted by law or separately authorised, you may not copy, resell or appropriate protected content.
Alano belongs to Alano Tech Pte. Ltd. and is licensed for use in JongScore. You may not turn Alano into another character, use it commercially without permission or claim original authorship. Using the App does not transfer any rights in Alano to you.
8. Third-party services and Apple
Apple speech recognition, the App Store, system sharing and your chosen backup destinations may be subject to their providers' separate terms. You are responsible for device and network charges.
These Terms are between you and OMU LABS LIMITED, not Apple. We, not Apple, are responsible for the App and its content and provide support to the extent required by applicable law and App Store rules. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of the App-licence provisions and may enforce those provisions as permitted by law.
9. Updates, suspension and discontinuation
We may update, change, pause or discontinue the App or room sync, including for security, maintenance or legal reasons. Save records you need independently. We do not guarantee permanent availability of a feature or cloud room.
Revised Terms will display their update date. Material changes will receive any notice required by applicable law. Continued use after revisions take effect indicates acceptance. Stop using the App if you disagree.
10. Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by law, the App is provided as is and as available, without guarantees of complete accuracy, uninterrupted operation or freedom from errors. We disclaim legally excludable liability for wrong scores, misrecognition, sync failure, data loss or decisions you make from these records.
Nothing excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, or removes non-waivable rights under applicable consumer law.
11. Ending use and continuing provisions
You may stop using or delete the App at any time. This does not automatically remove shared rooms or shared copies. See the Privacy Policy for information handling and enquiry procedures.
If a provision is held invalid, the remaining provisions continue to the extent permitted by law. Intellectual-property and liability provisions that by their nature should survive continue after you stop using the App.
12. Governing law and contact
These Terms are governed by Hong Kong law. The courts of Hong Kong have jurisdiction, without affecting non-waivable rights granted by applicable law.
